When I saw that surveillance camera shot of the guy pulling a knife on the Muni train I thought of this solid advice from Bessie Smith in 1933. Line is around 1:30.

Also "I wouldn't pay 25 cents to go in nowhere" tells a lot of the progress of inflation.
