If you have nothing going during the 4th of July weekend, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City is hosting a premier rail event. Starting on Friday, July 1 and running through the 4th there will be eight operating steam locomotives. The event celebrates 150 years since the completion of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad. All but three of the existing V&T locomotives will be on display. There will be vendors, food and "lost art" demonstrations as well.
