Perhaps it is fantasyland, but

A Night train from Sac<->Oakland/SF<->LA that extended to Anaheim if not SD would be really popular I think.

I know if it was priced right my family would use it.
Getting up at 3:30am to drive to LA/OC by lunch time is tedious and off putting. dealing with flying isn't better. a chill overnight on the train that gets you to LA in time to have a useful day would do wonders. Showing up at Anaheim in time for the Rope drop at Disneyland would be "Chef's Kiss."

Sure High speed travel between the locations will be awesome if it gets built, but the bar to clear on this seems so much lower.
