To Chris Hart & David Epling, I present this statement and question to ponder about:

When the ORIGINAL "V&T" abandoned service in 1950, the late rail historian "Grahame Hardy", who lived in Virginia City, went thru legal channels and "BOUGHT THE V&T NAME RIGHTS" and kept the railroad incorporated and registered with the State of Nevada.

I assume that in later years, present operator "Tom Gray" bought those "NAME RIGHTS" and Incorporation documents from Grahame's widow or other family members, if any. If NOT, I don't believe he could use the "V&T NAME"...

Now comes "Chris Hart" from the Sierra Railway and the State of Nevada...
For a good marketing plan, the USE of the V&T NAME is MANDATORY, otherwise, no one will know what you're talking about..
SO THEN: Who currently has the OWNERSHIP and RIGHT to use the trademark V&T name//logo ??

This could get into a can of worms like the UPRR trademark legal cases...
Can any of you shed any light on this, PLEASE ???
