His name doesn't ring a bell and I never heard John mention that his distant cousin worked for the railroad.

John had some health issues in his final years. At this website page you can see a picture of him in the diner of the Front Range Explorers sitting alongside Rick Moser. John was a great source of accurate information and he had a great sense of humor. I went to his memorial service in Hutchinson, KS and there was a big turnout with people coming in from multiple states. I miss him.
