Not necessarily. People commit "thrill killings" these days and emptying the gun makes it that much more appealing to them. And then we have idiots like DEMOCRAT L.A. County District Attorney George Gascon, propped up by George Soros, who feels that, not matter how many people a person kills just for the fun of it, that person should get no longer than FORTY years in jail. You could wipe out a school bus full of little kids and Gascon would give you no more than forty years. For him, capitol punishment isn't even on the table.

In Gascón’s mind, prison sentences that exceed 40 years are impractical. Most people incarcerated for that long, he argues, pose a minimal public safety threat as they get older, yet continue to be a drain on taxpayers who have to fund their prison term. “If you can achieve the public safety objective within a decade or two,” he said, “there’s no need for three, four ... decades of incarceration.”
