Why are you unemployed? Since this is a transportation discussion forum, I can advise you to apply for a job at one of the freight railroads or Amtrak. I was amazed at the number of jos listed in the careers section of Amtrak's website.

You can also get your Commercial Driver's License (if you don't already have one) and apply for work at a public transit system or trucking company.

If none of those sound appealing, many other employers are desperate for workers.
