Don't believe the pictured car was either the Scottish Thistle or the Tioga Pass, as neither had the "ditch lights" on the platform. The Thistle had a single spotlight mounted top center above the platform for rear illumination. These cars were built for the CN regional superintendents, the Thistle was the Prairie Region car based in Winnipeg. My wife and I rode the Thistle on many AAPRCO convention trips over about a fifteen year period. Touring car "Bedford" is currently in Pueblo, Colorado in the stewardship of the Bunsen Boys starring Al Singleton and is nearing completeion of a many-year restoration to Amtrak-legal status while companion car "Burrard" is still the property of Bob McLean of the Sacramento area who purchased it nearly thirty years ago.
