I subscribe to Mexlist, a computer emailing list dealing with the railroads of Mexico and this is the 50th anniversary of a really bad passenger train wreck near Saltillo in 1972. I was able to have Google translate some of the newspaper articles and, in one of them, this sentence kind of stood out:

In addition, the workers were tortured by the police to make them plead guilty and admit the crimes of which they were accused, since there was a lot of pressure from the high command of Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México.
