BNSF is the big show in Phoenix; they come into town from the Northwest along Grand Ave. The line splits West of town - their line goes North to Williams Jct., while Arizona & California ( or whatever it is called today ) continues NW to Parker, AZ., crosses the Colorado " River " <-? and connects with BNSF at Cadiz, CA. BNSF has a auto unloading facility along Grand Ave., though I understand it will / has been moved further out of ever - growing Valley of the Smog.
