Derailment in Eugene Yard (Oregon)
Author: ST2K
About 14:00 the remote control job working the south end of Eugene yard popped 2 or 3 empty center beams of the tracks to the west
and pushed one end of a box car of to the East. The main is open to very slow running but It looks like the yard is not accesible from the south.
There is track damage so it might take a day or two the restor things.

Oh! Those pesky centerbeams again. And again. And Again...
You would think they would be banned from the rails.

Actually looking at the news footage it appears it was a box car that picked the Engine Lead switch at the very south end of the yard and multiple cars (box cars and centerbeams) tried to go down different tracks with the expected results. Nothing on their sides and cleanup shouldn't be too bad. The mainline appears to be clear.
