Yes, indeed. Those guys on the Strasburg steam engine were very lucky. If that boom crane had punctured the boiler, it would have been a real game changer. A lot of crews have ended up in the jackpot over the restricted speed rule.
BTW, I made a recent entry on my 164th photo installment where I reminisced about working those ex-Milwaukee SuperDomes. Also, on Oct. 26th five other guys and I had lunch in Redlands and rode the new Arrow DMUs. Our friend CQP was one of them. It's a pretty slick operation.
