I recognize that Google isn't always (hey, USUALLY isn't) up to date, but I'm confused. Looking at their coverage of the Perris Depot area and extending toward the museum's track, it looks like 1) there's already a switch on the main line (going nowhere), and 2) there's space for the museum to build intl a stub track area at the Metrolink station. Recognizing that they do need a main track connection for non-trolley excursions, what's up with a complete new (obviously, at the price, made for main track use in PTC territory) switch? or is it for the side track connecting to that dangling switch in the Google pic?
