Spotted Thursday Nov. 3rd in their engine shed - both " SD-40's " ( though one uses a SD-45 carbody ), with ALL Lettering & Tacoma Rail logos removed ( or painted over ? ); only the unit numbers # 3000 & 3001 remain. Maybe they are leaving the TMBL ??? The engine shed is also being expanded on West side.
Also noticed Tacoma Rail pulled out their switch leading to Progress Rail / old CEECo shop alongside Hwy. 509. All shop buildings & paint " tube " still there, as well as a 24 hour guard on premises. Maybe TMBL needed the switch components elsewhere.
They have had several derailments this year, including 3 that I know of, at the SHARP curve in the intersection of Port of Tacoma Rd. & Lincoln Ave. Double Stack trains string - lining & taking out power poles in late September brought out the FRA defect highrail truck.
