Yes, definitely a conductor and engineer. There may have been a baggage man/brakeman too. A few years later I rode it to Prince George on the tri-weekly schedule and it had a premium service where hot meals were served at your seat. There was an attendant to do that. The patronage was pretty good--probably fifty to sixty people with a lot of entraining and detraining at intermediate stops. Yes, B.C. is a beautiful place to railroad, but it does have some harsh winters.
And, of course, it all had to come to an end because, like so many other things, if it doesn't operate at a profit and cover all of its expenses, it loses its right to exist.
