The lesbians were fortunate their train didn't run over somebody.

Here's an interesting newspaper article from the L.A. Times from 1988, back in an era where newspaper articles were written without pushing an agenda or being used as a portal to promote a certain lifestyle.

Yes, I'll head all the "rivet counters" off at the pass and note that the writer got the sequential order of Fullerton and Santa Ana inverted.

So when trains run over people, things get royally screwed up. True thirty-four years ago. True today.

Traveling by train is a crap shoot. You have to hope on the day you ride that the train doesn't run over someone or takes on the appearance that it's headed for a GLAAD convention.
