That engine is not the one in Yreka today. In 1978 Kyle bought a number of dynamic brake equipped SW-8s from SP, two of which they sent to the YW. The company briefly considered rewiring the 602 for multiple unit operations but it was cheaper to give it a one way ticket to the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern Railroad, where it worked until that road shut down. The engine spent some time on the Oregon Pacific Railroad before they traded it to Western Rail, not sure what happened to it afterwards.
