V&T Ry. bridge completion is quite an accomplishment, AND IF THEY HAVE THE FUNDING, they could run by 2011 or 2012 to Drako Rd. [Empire, or far east Carson City]. The 800 pound gorilla in the room is that I know of no funding source that has been found for this goal, or to pay for access to Virginia City. These folks remain upbeat, though and that is certainly to their credit. In the meantime, there is a promise of steam this year up the road in Virginia City--and without taxpayer funding. hmmmmm. rh
