The only thing dumber is a 'journalist' twisting an article to be about the "High speed" Brightline killing machine.

This story and video have 2 different versions of what happened. The story claims police think the car stopped on one of the two tracks while a northbound freight passed on the other track, and then was hit by the southbound Brightline. If true then the stupid people didn't see the lights or hear the frantic horn of a train running on the track they were sitting on that is straight in each direction from the crossing for 6 miles. And flat.
Visible the entire time.

The video says they pulled in between the gates, stopped, then started to proceed after the northbound cleared and were hit by the southbound. But there is no room to do that without sitting on the tracks. So they were stupid and oblivious. We're lucky they are no longer around to do something else reckless and stupid that might get innocent people killed.
