Downside of the video is that there's no indication of where the HSR tracks will be. Focus is on the freeway and relocated GS Blvd separations and interchanges. IOW need more information.
If you want megaprojects (how long has this one been under construction?), here's what just might be the last big new urban freeway project in California. I can't begin to imagine the cost!
Bakersfield Centennial Corridor and work needed to rebuild the 58/99 interchange. FWIW, the part west of Coffee Road was build to freeway standards as a local project; what's happening now is the connection between existing 58 east (some people see it as a potential extension of I-40) and the part that's already built. At one time, HSR was supposed to run into Bakersfield in the median of this freeway, or else bypass to the west with a light rail connection in the median, but other plans got developed.
