Following the Feb. 3 East Palestine derailment, Earthjustice, an environmental group, sent Buttigieg a letter asking the administration to reverse the change that the Trump administration made to the brake rule.
As has been previously mentioned here on AP, the Biden administration had TWO YEARS to do what Earthjustice is suggesting in this letter. Earthjustice wrote the letter REACTIVELY to the Ohio wreck. The Biden administration could have taken some PROACTIVE measures, but did not, and the wreck at E. Palestine might have been avoided.
If an administration can sit around for TWO YEARS with its thumb up its a s s, then what good is the executive branch? Biden was issuing executive orders as if the world was ending 30 days after he assumed office if it had something to do with gay rights or Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Rail safety wasn't viewed as being important enough.
The Biden administration is just flailing around helplessly, looking for scape goats. The responsibility for this falls on Biden. Not President Trump.
