My, my, sounds like all those "welfare Checks" finally stopped showing up in the mail? No timber industry, no chips, no pulp mill, no ships, no salmon season. A lousy crab season. Even the Humboldt Creamery is threatened because it was managed by a crook. Could be Humboldt Bay resurrects the old definition for "bar pilot," but last I checked "Go Fish" was closed. Bet the local micro-brews will do a booming business?

But I thought Goldman-Sachs was going to save the day with all that money they didn't have, or never existed??? Maybe they had to use what was left to pay the bonuses before they got thier TARP funds?

Can anyone just say Cheeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz?
