Oh, yes,
I remember that trip. It was an awesome sight seeing the Royal Hudson steam across the Dumbarton RR Bridge from the East Bay to East Palo Alto and points west and south. I remember this handsome engine vividly. It was a sad day when steam was retired in BC. 2860 has been restored to operation at the West Coast Railway Association's museum: /www.wcra.org/
