Thanks for the memories! Yes, I remember Keith White (KRW). CN called them RTCs or Rail Traffic Controllers at that point and still do today. Yes, that is me @ Lake Charles stop, the first Passenger stop on our trip that day. Under normal circumstances, the "smoke break" was at Lafayette, but because that stop was missed, it defaulted to Lake Charles. For the record, the Amtrak Conductor next to the Amtrak logo is Amtrak New Orleans (now retired) Conductor Bob Morgan (no, not the same Bob Morgan that you and I used to work with at Amtrak in LA in the early 1990s. Bob had the nickname "10 car Bob" because he was in that car 90 percent of the time on his runs! You are correct that digital pictures are easier to work with.
