An Addendum

If you look at the left side of the pilot on the Kaiser Steel locomotive, you can see the white roof of a Jeep parked in the distance. That was a Jeep that my friend David Busse owned and it offered the two of us many good opportunities to chase and photograph trains. Busse wrote about the freedom this vehicle afforded us in an article in TRAINS. Here's a photo, taken by Busse, from April of 1983 when we were in Colorado for a couple of weeks chasing and photographing some of the last runs of the Rio Grande Zephyr. I was driving. Good memories. And where did the time go?
