According to the News coverage accounts this fire spread quickly. Is it common for fires on Railroad Trestles to spread that quickly? Or would that seem suspicious that it did. When was that trestle built originally as part of the American River Bridge?

Isn't the UP and other railroads attempting to replace infrastructure made out of wood with concrete to prevent such fire related problems from happening in the future? I had heard that the UP was intent on actually tearing this wooden trestle down in the future and replacing it with a concrete one? Right?
