The UP properties in question are not currnetly up for bid with WSDOT! The so called vandalism will have nothing to do with the potential operator that will win approval from the RFP process that is in place for the CW branch (Cheney to Coulee City)) and the P&L branch (Marshall to Moscow), both are former BNSF properties. It also sounds like there is money from the state to make repairs if needed but maybe the state will "make" WATCO take care of these issues or there could be a breach of contract since the state owns the properties. WATCO will continue to operate the "UP side", Thornton,Winona,Hopper etc.....
