Your points are well stated. Over on Trainorders, there are aeral photos that show that the UP appears to have taken over the incident. Excavators are removing the debris. This task may already may have been completed. There appears to be a firefighting watertender on scene. I believe it is from Northtree Fire, a private company that provides firefighting equipment on a call when needed basis. My guess is that the UP has damage repair specialists that are pulled together as a team when this type of event occurs.
So for the sake of discussion, what type of talent would UP want to enlist for this type of incident. Obviously there needs to be someone in charge with a substantial juice card in company. An engineering specialist to run the design team. A finacial specialist to be sure the bills are paid. Any other positions to fill?
