The line is leased from the Union Pacific and out of service from the tresle at Richvale to Tehama account the trestle has sunk and the California Northern will not fix the bridge. The lease agreement states that the line is to be maintained and it is not being maintain as per the agreement. Most of the track is down to 25mph and Cal. Northern won't budget enough money to upgrade the line. No Amtrak Detours nor freight detours for this line and probably not in the forseeable future.
