Right you are, sir! CTC was installed on the WP during the Second World War, and control of the two crossings located there was transfered to the dispatcher in Sacramento. How soon afterwards the tower was removed is unknown to me.

John Harder photos of the tower have been posted over on TO's in the past. I'm sure KRK has seen 'em.
