I seem to recall reading somewhere (Trains maybe?) where UP was doing some track work on the Tennessee Pass line in order to allow them to continue to use it to store surplus cars. I also remember there was some discussion about one of the mountain communities (Eagle maybe?) wanting to install a grade crossing over the line, but UP was fighting it claiming that it could interfere with future line operations.

I would really love to see this line come back up, but isn't there some missing track at the tunnel at the pass that would need to be reinstalled first?

Does anyone else recall any of these details, or others I may have missed?
