A San Francisco then and now

I have never done a lot of "then and now" postings but I am in the mood for one tonight.

First shot is of SP FM Trainmaster #3021 ready to leave 3rd and Townsend from Track #14 in November of 1972. Until Amtrak came along and ended the Daylight, all most long distance trains arrived on #14 as it was the only track that did not stub end at the depot.

This is what Track 14 looks like today. The locomotive would be on the sidewalk just beyond where the terra cotta facing begins.
