I used to love to catch HBL jobs, because the port was an interesting place to work and see the most fascinatng stuff. There's nothing quite like a proller machine eating whole cars and spitting out scrap. They were all really easy jobs, where a lot of dubious characters used to hide from the Trainmasters and Road Foreman on their home roads. The only problem back then was that the power was always junk, because that's where the home roads sent the crappiest units. It was an operation that clearly could not sustain today's level of activity or productivity. I think choochoo has it about right.
