Revaluation ?

In the aftermath of the trestle fire and the impact on the UP & BNSF freight operations not to mention the Amtrak trains coupled with the huge expense borne onto UP into having to build a brand new trestle, how likely is it that some thought for consideration on UP's part in possibly repairing the damaged bridge at Thomes Creek and putting back in the old connector trackage & hardware so that should an incident such as the one that happened this last week in Sacramento ever surface again, a means of getting around a problem would be readily available ?

At the very least by doing just this even if no other signal improvements were included rather just running with TWO's would at the very least give their RR some fluidity so that having to go to places like Marysville just to run back to Roseville or putting more traffic on the single track (ex-WP) north out of Sacramento or taking the long way around by moving freight south would be at least a viable option which would take off some real pressure in gettiung the main artery line back in service.
