We were at Metal Management in Salt Lake one day when two gentlemen showed up with a reel of
clad copper wire stolen from a construction site. By the time MM scaled the wire the PD was there
with two cruisers and four armed officers, guns drawn. We were told by MM personnel that the local
police agencies had made it very clear that possession of stolen "scrap" was just as punishable
as the stealing it and that little statement made enforcement much more effective. Dick, glad
to hear that things aren't as bleak as they seemed and give'em hell!!
