Trainnews - volume 2 - issue 171 - 07/15/09

TODAY'S PHOTO

A South Branch Valley Railroad local spots loaded grain cars at the Pilgrim's Pride chicken facility in Moorefield, WV on July 6, 2009. The power on this run were the SBVRR's three GP9Rs, Nos. 91, 92 and 90, all painted in the B&O-inspired dark blue with gold trim scheme. Seeing three EMD GP9s painted in identical, attractive paint schemes is a welcome alternative to train-watching on the local Class 1s, with mismatched consists of dirty and leased power.
