Hampton Roads VA Carfloat1977

Haven't posted anything for awhile, thought I'd share an old shot of my father's. I was actually standing next to him when he snapped this (we were on a tour boat on Hampton Roads, from Norfolk, VA).

This is the Chesapeake & Ohio carfloat service that ran between Newport News and Norfolk back in 1977.

Funny - main thing that I remember from this trip is not being able to get my parents to stop at the C&O Yard in Newport News to let me take roster shots (huge fight). Well, much as I do wish I had those roster shots today, I think this shot is probably cooler for my memory.
