Re: K Falls platform

The Coast Starlight normally uses the second track out from the station. This is mainly due to the fact that the track has a powered turnout at the north end but is a hand throw at the south end. Before I retired from ODOT, discussions were held with Amtrak to install the south powered turnout and reconstruct the platform to be 8 inches top of rail. Due to lack of funding (and probably a champion) this was never moved forward.
