The other RS-27 in existence is Minnesota Commercial 316, also ex-GBW ex-CNW. The GB&W owned 4 of the RS-27's total production of 27 units. #310, purchased new was the first RS-27 and the remainder were 316 (ex-CNW 903, ex-ALCO demo 640-5), 317 (ex-CNW 902, ex-ALCO demo 640-4) and 318 (ex-CNW 901, ex-ALCO demo 640-2). The 316 & 317 operated on the GB&W for a while still in CNW green & yellow and still carrying numbers 903 & 902. The 318 came in all black as it was filtered through Precision National before coming to the GBW. On July 15, 2007, Nos. 316 & 318 were run in mu as a special event for GB&WHS members and any other rail fan who happened along.
