And, it really goes without saying, but I will say it anyway, the SP 4449 is awesome!!! There were plenty of sharp curves in WA, ID, and MT to allow good side views of her as she pulled up winding canyons past sparkling rivers. On grades, we could hear the stack talk clear back in our cars. Another thing to note, since the train was made up of pre-Amtrak passenger cars, the forward view from the domes was excellent. Hats off to everyone who made it possible, including the 4449 crew themselves, BNSF and Amtrak.
