There is a new thread on T.O. about the Deuce and the reason for her appearance when she first came on Rayonier property. I'd like to make a correction in that the black & while photo of the deuce and what looks to be PC Shay 15 sitting alongside her, the location is NOT Sekiu, but either Dickey Camp or Hoko Camp, both of which were South of Sekiu.
Sekiu was the Northern end of the railroad and was situated at the waters edge of the Strait of San Juan de Fuca and within sight of Vancouver Island. Here was the log dump and shops.
Dickey Camp was used as a base for the woods power until the Baldwin Diesels arrived around 1956, then woods operations were moved North to Hoko Camp.
