Thank you Dick. I had been out to Hoko Camp in June, 1968 when the two steam engines were
still stored there. Hoko Camp is confined by Hoko Canyon while Dickey Camp is more open.
Stolzenberg Mtn sits just to the East of Hoko. Just South of there was the Bradley Transfer
& then the J Line wye. After climbing Nelson Hill, the railroad came to Dickey Camp.
Did you ever get out there? I don't imagine that there are too many folks still around that
saw that operation? Stan Kistler and Jim Gertz come to mind as well as Chuck Heimerdinger.
More on the Willamettes @ Rayonier...Number 4, long on display in Port Angeles, was the
dump engine at Sekiu for much of her later career. She replaced 70-3 class Shay 7.
