Going down, we will be fine, but before we leave East Gate Siding, which is in the Carson City county, off of Flint Drive, we will take full water there and make it to Scales Siding, which is about half way. We are currently finishing SP 1251's tender as an aux tender to set aside at the Scales siding. We will pull up along side and use our pump to fill up the 29's tender to make it all the way back to Virginia City. 1251's tender, we estimate holds about 6,500 gallons.

29, being a saturated locomotive, will definately use more water than the 18. After prepping 18 and bringing her up to Virginia City with a co worker, she will more than likely not be running this year. It also needs an Annual, and we do not have time to do it right now, as we have a lot going on being the operators for this year(2009) and getting ready for August's Railfest. The 29 is running great and looks awesome as well. She should have no problem making it up all the way. There are recent videos posted of her on youtube.
