Strange Amtrak in Portland

Tuesday appx 9:15 AM I spotted the rear 2 cars of an Amtrak special ??? , departing Portland, OR Northbound. The cars were an Amfleet & the Big Dome !!! Any ideas what or where ??? It was way too early for them to be deadheading on N/B Train # 14. ( unless it's yesterday's Train !!! ) Or were they deadheading on Train # 27 ???
