I can understand why people hate to have freight cars stored in sight of their homes. Graffiti-covered cars ARE ugly. In recent years I fielded multiple complaint calls from Tracy, Calif. the Reno branch north of Bordertown, Nev. and Pueblo, Colo. The one I really remember, though, was from a woman who lived out on the KP in eastern Colorado. We had a string of cars stored across the highway from her home for months, then one day they were gone. A week later they were back. That's when she called me. She was beyond upset. I certainly understood her position. I called Larry Smith, the division superintendent for that area at the time and he got them moved. That's what I considered job satisfaction.
