Yes. There is a motel in Martinez, CA, the John Muir Inn, (which is located at Muir, milepost 1170 on A.T.& S.F.)whch caters to the maintenance-of-way employees. It has a large back parking lot where the large railroad trucks can be parked. When the rail detection service vehicle is in the area, it is parked there. This motel is used mostly by B.N.S.F. employees, but U.P. employees also use it. I didn't know that there was an agreement between the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees and the railroads to discontinue "bunk" cars.
