Disposition of dome-coach Silver Island -- The "Silver Island" coach for the 'Twin Zephyr' became BN 5480 (not applied), to Amtrak 9540, retired 10/81 to Dr. Tim Watson, sold during 1986 to Westinghouse Corp Bloomington IN as static display planned for use as a sales/demo office, Company and car re-sold during 1991 to ASEA Brown Boveri - same location, re-sold during 1996 to Tom Johnson/Branson Scenic RR - car in service.

NP # 1, the Mainstreeter, detouring over MILW due to boxcar full of 155mm cannon shells exploding on WB freight at E. Jens the day before. 5-19-65 The train is in front of the MILW depot in Missoula, MT. The crew is inside, probably getting clearance and orders.
