The instructions relayed by "Railpax71" did work as I was able to upload 3 pictures. In my earlier post I neglected to mention that I was using FireFox 3.5.2 instead of Internet Explorer. I have a strong preference for Firefox and have found few things that it is unable to do, but apparently this is one of them. If anyone has further enlightenment about how to do this in Firefox, please post specifics.
One more question. Are pictures posted here to be reserved for the "Trainnews" picture of the day, or can they be used for general posts as I have done below?
In any event, here are 3 pictures I uploaded:
One of my favorite Milwaukee shots. Two Milwaukee freights meet at Donald, MT, just east of Pipestone Pass in August, 1963. E71-E73 heading away from the camera, are eastbound. E78-E74 are ascending the grade westbound. E78 was the first little joe to be scrapped, at Seattle during the first week of December, 1974.
SDP commuter train leaving San Francisco CA ON 8/20/1973
UP 8444 brought the "US State Flags" special train to Spokane WA where it was on display for 6 months during Expo-74, the 1974 Worlds Fair. During a layover at Hinkle OR on 4/21/1974 UP 844, the GP30 that was responsible for 844 becomming 8444 in 1962 showed up on the next track! How many times might these two have crossed paths on live UP rails?
Today the diesel is long gone from the UP active fleet, donated to a museum in Las Vegas NV. Steam loco 8444 has regained her original 844 number.
