my father was in the sp hospital on fell street a few times in the 40's and i still have a half full bottle of that red "gargle" that they gave everyone with the sp lable stll on the bottle! it was a huge facility when it was operating and as i recall was top of the line when compared to the other "civilian hospitals. i visited many times while he was in there.
