An interesting post over at the Narrow Gauge Discussion site about ex-SP 1744 (2-6-0) migrating west to Colorado for use on the SL&RG.

Okay, I'd rather see a "valley mallet" working some old branchline in California, but I ain't complaining! It just gives me one more reason to go back to Colorado and New Mexico. As if the Cumbres and Toltec wasn't reason enough...
